ModernizationsQuoteQuoteQuote

The final matrix of each policy is set by the technical annex of coverage by component.

Obsolescence

Does your elevator need a technology upgrade?

When a component is no longer manufactured and replacing it requires adapting or upgrading part of the system, eLift offers a tailored modernization. It is quoted separately from the policy and, once completed, eligible components return to your plan’s coverage.

Coverage conditions

Clear conditions from the start

Spare parts

All parts installed by eLift are supplied by eLift. For safety, compatibility, traceability and warranty reasons, we do not install parts bought or provided by the customer. Parts not covered by your plan are quoted and paid by the customer.

Obsolescence and modernization

Plus and Max cover components that are replaced directly with original or compatible equivalent parts. If a part is discontinued and replacing it requires modifying push-button panels, connections, electronics, programming or structure, it is considered a modernization and quoted separately. Once it is completed, paid and technically accepted, the new components return to the plan’s coverage after the inventory is updated.

Initial inspection

Before signing Plus or Max we carry out a technical assessment of the elevator: condition, age, existing faults, obsolete components and parts availability. Existing faults are not covered automatically; their correction is documented and agreed before coverage starts.

Labor

Labor coverage changes with the plan and the contract. Care includes preventive maintenance labor; Plus and Max also include labor for major repairs within the agreed scope.

Emergencies

All three plans include 24/7 emergency call handling, 365 days a year. On-site service hours, response times, rescues, extraordinary visits and charges are defined in each policy, without affecting regulatory safety obligations.

Technical scope

The plans are defined for electric traction elevators. Specific technical annexes are prepared for hydraulic elevators, Home Lift, freight elevators, ramps and escalators.

Extraordinary exclusions

Repairs resulting from vandalism, unauthorized interventions, floods, fires, external electrical disturbances and other causes unrelated to normal wear are subject to the contract exclusions.

Warranty

eLift is responsible for the work performed and the parts supplied in accordance with the applicable legal and contractual warranties. No policy condition limits the customer’s non-waivable rights.

Frequently asked questions

What people ask us

Can eLift maintain any brand?

Yes. We service equipment from all brands, for example OTIS, KONE, Schindler, Mitsubishi, Orona, MP, EDEL, Monarch, Canny and Xizi. Before signing, we inspect the equipment to confirm parts availability.

How often does an elevator need maintenance?

Our standard is one visit per month. The final frequency is set in the policy according to the type of property, how the equipment is used and the applicable regulations.

What is the difference between Care, Plus and Max?

All three share the same inspection and safety standard. What changes is the financial coverage: Care covers preventive maintenance; Plus adds buttons, contacts, guide shoes and labor for major repairs; Max extends coverage to boards, door operators, sensors and the other components in the inventory, with express exclusions.

What happens if a part is no longer manufactured?

If replacing it requires adapting or upgrading part of the system, it is considered a modernization and quoted separately. Once completed and accepted, the new components return to your plan’s coverage.

What happens if the motor breaks down under Max?

The motor or traction machine is an excluded part: the part is quoted and purchased from eLift. Replacement labor is included under the agreed scope. Cranes, special hoisting equipment or civil works are not automatically included.

Can I buy a spare part myself?

No. For safety, compatibility, traceability and warranty reasons, every part we install is supplied by eLift.

Does the plan include emergency service?

Yes. All three plans include 24/7 emergency call handling, 365 days a year. Response times, rescues and extraordinary visits are defined in each policy.

Can I change plans?

Yes, you can request it. The conditions of the change are defined in your policy; moving to Plus or Max requires the initial technical assessment.

What if the elevator already has faults before signing?

We detect them during the initial inspection. They are not covered automatically: we document their correction and agree on it with you before coverage starts.
